About Us

We organize free, digital skill development and internet safety sessions for elementary school children. The goal of these playful activities is to help children engage with digital devices in a safe and critical way, and to learn about the advantages and disadvantages
 that digitalization can bring them.

Who We Are

At Digi Tanoda, educators and volunteers from the social and business sectors work together. We believe that reducing inequality is a shared responsibility for all of us. We also know that systemic problems in education and digitalization require systemic answers, but we consider solidarity and direct help to be just as important.

Our sessions are free of charge, and our primary goal is to ensure that children who lack access to the right tools or support at home and school can also navigate the digital world with confidence, becoming knowledgeable users and creators of digital technology.

If you are interested in our work, don’t hesitate to contact us, write us an e-mail, and we will get back to you soon:

What do we teach?

We teach digital skills and safe internet use in a playful way. Fifty children participate in our weekly afternoon sessions. We strengthen the skills that prepare students to use digital tools critically and safely, help them in their studies, and contribute to them becoming conscious, wellinformed citizens. In addition, we hold oneoff internet safety sessions for thirdgraders at various locations so that as many as possible are aware of the most basic online dangers and how to prevent them. We also organize internet safety workshops for parents.

Content Creation

During the sessions, children will not only be passive consumers but also active creators of the digital space: from website building to playful programming.

Teamwork

Kids discover the power of digital communication and master the art of collaborating to smash their goals together.

Problem Solving

By using digital devices, children search for and find answers to a wide variety of questions.

Safety and Security

Children will discover how to navigate the dangers of the digital world. They'll understand the real-world impact of the information they share and master the skills needed to keep their personal data safe and secure.

Data Interpretation

Children learn to distinguish relevant information from irrelevant information, and factual information from that which is untrue.
